We are excited to share that on 8 May 2025, the first physical prototype set of MuJong™ tiles was officially received—marking a major step forward in the realisation of this educational invention.
Each tile is designed to be tactile, weighted, and visually engaging, evoking the classic feel of traditional mahjong while reimagining it as a modern music theory learning tool. The MuJong™ tiles you see in the photo above are part of the Starter Series, intended to support basic clef, key, and rhythm challenges for beginners and young learners.
This milestone also coincided with a quiet celebration at home, where our young inventor, Ki Ki, marked the moment with two symbolic candles—one for the invention itself, and another for the journey ahead.
The arrival of the prototype tiles signifies more than just production readiness. It validates the countless hours spent iterating on gameplay mechanics, educational design, and IP protection. The MuJong patent (Application No. 10202501095Q) was filed with the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore just days earlier, and now the concept has physically taken shape.
In the coming weeks, the MuJong team will begin structured prototype testing, gathering feedback from educators, musicians, and students to refine gameplay before commercial rollout.
This is just the beginning.
