We’re pleased to announce that on 16 May 2025, we formally submitted a Request for Search and Examination (PF11) to the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) for our patent application concerning the Mujong™ gameplay system and musical learning framework.
This filing represents an important milestone in our journey to build a protected, scalable, and thoughtfully engineered platform for music education.
What the Patent Covers
The pending patent encompasses key components of the Mujong™ system, including:
- The structure and interaction of modular tiles representing musical elements (notes, rests, clefs, and key/time signatures)
- Scoring mechanisms and gameplay logic based on rhythmic and tonal accuracy
- Tempo-based challenges and harmony-based bonuses
- Digital adaptations including app-based interaction, multiplayer capability, and audio rendering of composed sequences
This framework represents a novel approach to merging structured music theory with interactive play, and we’re excited to take it through formal examination.
Building an Integrated IP Framework
Our IP protection strategy continues to evolve holistically:
- Trademark: Mujong™ is a registered mark.
- Design: The core mascot has been filed as a Registered Design and is currently pending approval.
- Copyright: All visual and musical assets, including character variations, stickers, and manuals, are published and protected.
The PF11 filing strengthens our legal foundation, ensuring that the creative and educational value of the Mujong™ system remains safeguarded as we scale.
