We’re pleased to share that we have formally filed a Registered Design application with the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) for the Mujong character mascot.
This step reinforces our ongoing commitment to protecting the visual identity and creative expressions that form the foundation of the Mujong™ brand.
About the Design
The design registration application covers the distinct visual form of the Mujong character—including its body structure, proportions, facial features, and stylised presentation as a musical-themed mascot.
The mascot is a central part of the Mujong™ experience, appearing across:
- Digital stickers and online educational content
- Instructional materials and player guides
- Branding assets and future merchandise
By securing design protection, we aim to ensure consistency, authenticity, and recognisability as Mujong evolves into a broader platform.
Part of a Larger IP Framework
This filing complements our existing protection strategy, which includes:
- Trademark registration of the Mujong™ name
- Patent application covering the gameplay system and musical logic (under formal examination)
- Copyright protection over the artistic variations of the character and supporting materials
Each layer strengthens the integrity of the Mujong™ ecosystem, enabling us to scale responsibly while maintaining creative control.
What Registered Design Protection Does
A Registered Design protects the appearance of a product, rather than its function. It grants exclusive rights to use the design and to prevent others from using designs that are substantially similar.
This is particularly important in visual-driven products where the mascot is a key element of brand recognition, especially in educational and child-centric settings.
Looking Ahead
As Mujong continues to grow across digital platforms and physical mediums, we remain committed to investing in quality, originality, and long-term sustainability—not only in product development but also in brand protection.
Thank you for your continued support as we take the next steps in shaping the future of interactive music learning.
